Dr. Tonia Shatzel
Dr. Tonia Shatzel graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She practiced four years before opening Lanier Animal Hospital in Gwinnett County, Georgia. In 2006 she sold Lanier to focus on raising her daughter, providing relief veterinary services for local vets in the area. She became a part-time local to Walton County in 2006, and obtained her Florida Veterinary License in 2012 and started providing house calls on a limited basis. In January of 2013, she began the process of creating 30A Vet, providing mobile veterinary services while the hospital was being built. She enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including YOLO boarding in the bayou and in the gulf, beach sitting, and volunteering at Alaqua Animal Refuge with both horse training and veterinary services (not necessarily in that order). Although she enjoys riding horses, and left one behind in Georgia, she practices solely on dogs and cats at 30A Vet.
